It’s a common practice among webmasters to create a link archive page, a listing of all their favorite, useful, and otherwise interesting hyperlinks. Following in that age-old tradition, I figured I’d make my own! This will steadily grow as I accumulate more resources, but it’s quite possible this page may quickly evolve (or devolve perhaps?) into a large enough archive that I may need to create a TOC (that’s Table of Contents for all you de-lingo’d-ists out there) for faster reference.

Personal Websites

I define personal websites as anything lovingly made and crafted by one person, usually as a hobby and which is typically a blog or geared towards a specific purpose. Listed here are ones that I think are: interesting, cool, weird, or noteworthy.

• T E X T F I L E S — A cool site preserving the mini-memoirs of what it was like using the BBS’s of old, and the general culture of the internet in the 80’s and 90’s
• Daisuke’s Blog — A japanese person who learned English and now writes short fiction with surprising skill
• The Webtender — Online repository for hundreds (if not thousands?) of cocktail drink recipes, searchable by ingredients on hand!
• Choose Your Shapeshifter Wife — Okay, this one is definitely NSFW, but is pretty fun and funny; you build your own shapeshifter waifu! How unique!
• Motherf—ing Website — Classic tongue-in-cheek critique to all these new websites and their too-DAMN-fancy designs
• The Phrontistery — Every author and word-lover should have this site bookmarked, as it’s an amazing resource for obscure and weird words
